Try to take exercise and drink plenty of water during the day. Don’t watch TV or use the computer in the hour before bedtime. Have a warm, milky drink or a warm bath with essential oils like lavender.
Take herbal teas for sleep, for example Valerian or Passiflora half an hour before bed. This is a nice drink with honey in it and is not addictive. Have the bedroom a bit cooler than the rest of the house but keep the bed warm, maybe with a hotwater bottle. If all else fails get help from a GP who may prescribe you with melatonin (www.sleepfoundation.org/article/sleep-topics/melatonin) to regulate your sleep naturally over a few months.
